So many things!

Well, I guess I haven't been so good at blogging lately. It's just that life got the best of me the last couple weeks! I've been trying to keep the house in order, the kids happy and get ready for the boutique that was this past Saturday. Needless to say, the boutique was a bit less fruitful than I would have liked it to be considering the time & work put into it but it was a learning experience and gave me a good reason to get an Etsy shop going. I'll be listing my photo blocks on there (see below for more samples of those) as well as some other items that I made for the show and we'll see how those go. I am really liking these "anything" hangers that I made. I made 2 that have a pretty knob on them great for hanging jewelry or a purse..."anything"! I'd like to do more of these so I am hoping that there are interested parties! It was a good concept to me because I'd been looking for something cute to make for Mayci's room when I happened upon the knobs and since I've been doing so much with wood, I thought it was a cute idea. We'll see.

In other news, we had a nice Easter (yes, it's been that long since I posted any family updates!) and a couple days before Easter, I took Ms. Mayci Jean to get her ears pierced! She looks so pretty! They are doing great and I am so glad I finally got it done. She is just such a smart little girl. I would say that she is completely walking now! She still falls quite a bit but does really well overall. The other day she looked at Jay and said "hi dada", it was adorable. She's only done it once though.

The boys are all doing well. Jay has only a couple weeks left to the academy and I cannot wait for him to be done! He'll graduate on the 13th...yay! It's been quite hard having him away for this long. On both me & the kids. Joe will be celebrating his 8th birthday this week, on Wednesday! It's hard to believe 8 already and he only a few more weeks left of 2nd grade! He is looking forward to the summer and our trip back east in June. Avery is good! He is such a happy boy! He's been loving playing at the park in the sand lately. He is excited that it's warm enough to wear "air bud" shirts (tank tops) and I am not, haha. He is quite the talker and wants to help me with everything. I've still been trying to get him to nap as he just can't make it through the day after getting up at 5:30 or 6 in the morning. We'd been stretching it til 7 but not lately, it's rough.

Well, here are a few pics to share. I should also note the name of my new business, I don't think I had mentioned it before! As many of you know, I had concern about the KKK of Kandid Keepsakes by Kelli and I wanted something a little more flowing. So, I chose Blooming Branches. I wanted to incorporate nature and ideas since I try to use recycled or reused items as much as I can so I thought the "blooming" referenced and idea and the branches...well it just went and I like the whole branch/tree thing!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Just being silly!
These are my hanging photo cubes, I made this one for the boys room.
This was the tree/branch I used for my table at the boutique. I hung my card samples from it (there were many more than pictured here). Unfortunately, it was VERY windy that day and it didn't work out as well as I would have liked but I thought it was cute anyway.
