Wow, I can't believe this is my first post for May! Once again, caught up in life. Things are going well around here.

This has been an eventful week! On Monday night, I let our dog outside and when I went to let her back in, she was gone :( Jay thinks maybe the gate did not latch completely when he took the trash out and she escaped when I let her out. It was quite sad, especially since it's been so hot. On Tuesday, we hung up signs and put the word out. On Wednesday morning, I got a phone call from someone saying that they were walking their dogs when Sadie joined them! SO, we got her back, yay. She was very tired and thirsty of course and has now returned to normal.

On Wednesday, my in laws, the kids and I went down to Tucson for the day to attend Jay's graduation from the K9 academy. He will now be working on the K9 team at work rather than inside the prison. It's something he has wanted to do since he heard of this type of job within the prison system and he will officially start tomorrow. We are all very happy for him.

In other news, we have booked our travel to New England for June! We are all able to go and are looking forward to a great time with family & friends.

Things with the kids are wonderful. Joe celebrated his 8th birthday a couple weeks ago and will be completing 2nd grade in less than a week! Time sure flies. He is really excited about our trip back east since he hasn't really been on a plane before.

Avery is doing good, we've gone to the splash pad a couple times over the past few weeks where he's been able to have some fun and cool off. He also went swimming for the first time at Nana & Pa's on Mother's Day.

Mayci is just such a good little girl, as always. The past couple weeks she has learned to drink from a straw, went for her first swim and also loves the splash pad. She is really into playing into her doll right now. She'll get their bottle and feed them and push them around in her little stroller.

On Sunday, my nephew, Chris, is coming for a visit and we are so excited! He finished his first semester at college in CA and is stopping in Phoenix before heading back to MA.

Hope everyone is doing well!
