Halloween and more!

Hope everyone had a safe & happy Halloween! We had a great time. We went to the fall fest at our church on Friday evening where the kids went on bouncers and a little train ride they had. It was cold but fun! On Saturday, the kids trick or treated with their cousins. Thanks to the Garza's for hosting! I am sad to say I got few pictures of the kids in their costumes! I am not sure what I was doing (apparently not using my camera) but I really don't have any good shots. Joe was Storm Shadow, from G.I. Joe, Avery was Obi Wan Kenobi from Star Wars and Mayci was a little ballerina, wearing a black and orange tutu that I made her. Unfortunately, she rode in the stroller most the time, rather than showing off her tutu. She was very cute though. I would push her up to the door and she would say her version of trick or treat and then say thank you. She very much enjoyed the candy, with twizzlers (gum) being her favorite. She kept wanting more! The boys had fun too. One of the houses even had a mechanical bull for the kids to ride on...yes, that's right! They had a business that they were advertising so the kids got to do that. Quite funny.
Amazingly, I have only 7 more weeks until Baby Maddi arrives. Not only is the thought of having another baby around her in the midst of all this craziness a little scary but it's just a reminder of all I have left to do in such a short amount of time. Between the nursery and Christmas, I will be a busy lady!
I have given myself weekly goals to get stuff done and so far, I am happy to say I am ahead of schedule. This week, I wanted to finish Maddi's quilt and get the boys room painted. I finished her quilt yesterday and the boys room is about 1/2 way done. It was not in the original plan to even paint their room but my mother in law got a great deal on some bunkbeds from a yard sale and since I was moving furniture around anyway, I decided to use some blue paint I had leftover to get their room done. Avery is happy because he has been asking awhile (although he wanted to paint his room RED). Anyway, it will be nice to get the playroom stuff moved on out and into the boys room.
I am excited about this month! The cooler weather, the Thanksgiving holiday and just to be checking things off my list!

Her room will be painted aqua and in finding this fabric at Hobby Lobby, I knew I had to have it. It was just what I wanted..a lot of different, fun colors.
