It's amazing to think our little baby girl is 18 months old / 1 1/2 years today! She is such a big girl! As she snoozes away and Daddy & Avery are picking up Joe, I just thought I would take a couple minutes to reflect on the joy that she brings us each day...
Mayci is the happiest little girl...from her waking up talking in her crib and then yelling "mama", "mommy" to just her easy going spirit in going down for naps and dealing with her wild brother, she does it with a smile.
We had her 18 month check today. She is 22.8 lbs and 33 inches! That is still 25th percentile for height and 75th for height, the dr. said she would probably be a tall girl! She was so good too. She had one shot and cried for a minute but perked right up when I asked her if she wanted to get a sticker. She picked out a Dora one and had to put it right on her dress.
Mayci is an amazing communicator. From the time she was very little, she just has had an understanding of what is going on around her and what you are talking about. The other day she and I were talking about her baby sister in my belly. I asked her if she was going to help me feed the baby and give her paci to her, like she does with her baby dolls. She said yes and got down to get a paci that she plays with and then came back to me and put the paci to my belly! It was the sweetest thing ever. She pretty much tells us exactly what she wants, when she wants it. Her favorite things to drink are ice water, orange juice & milk although lately I have been drinking a lot of Vitamin water and she goes crazy over it! She loves to eat mac & cheese and pizza and any and all fruit. She isn't very into vegetables unless it's corn and she doesn't like meat very much, unlike Avery who would eat chicken for every meal.
Mayci is very social, she loves people and checking things out and has even started to enjoy going to the church nursery because she can see the "babies". She is Ms. Independent and wants to walk all the time now and keep up with Avery in everything she does.
Her favorite toys are still her babies & dolls. She loves to feed them, put them in their stroller and walk them and play kitchen with her babies. She has started getting attached to a little white dog that was her great grandma Mama Margies and calls it "Coco", because that is what Avery calls his stuffed dog that he carries around. It's adorable.
So, Happy 1 & 1/2 Birthday to Mayci Jean! We love you precious girl, we are blessed to have you and be your mom & dad!
