Things are going great..we're staying busy as always. This week we have worked on using up some of our lemons and made fresh squeezed lemonade and lemon muffins. They were both a hit. I also plan to make some lemon chicken in the next couple days. Really, I'd never done much with lemons in the past but I am quite enjoying them! The lemon bars last week were delicious as well! I should also add that Mayci loves lemons and has been eating lemon wedges on occasion the past couple weeks...maybe she got it from the sour patch kids I ate while pregnant???
I guess another reason for the lack of my posting is Jay's new work schedule...he's been on days and that means he wants to "hang out" at night. For those of you who know me well, I don't "hang out" well. I am fidgety and don't like to sit and watch tv until I have done what I wanted to do and at that I am usually only good for an hour show or so. With that being said, after laundry, tv, etc. it's been late and I haven't wanted to deal with this lazy computer, haha.
The kids are great. Joe had his parent/teacher conferences last night and he is doing very well. He still excels in reading and his writing and math have shown improvement. Avery is well...Avery, haha. He was so funny last night in the tub. He was hugging Mayci and saying that he and Mayci were married. My cute boy. Mayci is so big! She has started cruising a lot more and will walk off the couch or something else into your arms. It's more falling so I don't necessarily say she has taken first steps but boy it seems like she'll be walking soon. She loves anything she can push around and will do it for hours.
Garden updates...last week I planted our sunflowers, pumpkins and green beans outside because they were taking over our bar area in the kitchen. Needless to say, the fence was not done yet and the dog dug it up :-( I guess I should have just waited but I get antsy and when I get something in my mind (ie: remove the crazy plants on my bar) that is what I want to do! I really thought all was lost when yesterday I realized we may have a couple pumpkin plants that are going to make it. They were Avery's pick so I am really hoping they do! Today, I transplanted our herbs into a larger pot. We'll be keeping it indoors for now until the plants mature a bit (I should say "if" they mature). We also have our tomatoes, cantaloupe and green peppers still growing inside.
I also wanted to mention what a Red Box fan I am! If you do not do Redbox (the redboxes inside Walmart, Walgreens, etc)...do it, today! We've been renting dvd's for $1 through there for awhile now but now they are offerering free movie Wednesday. If you sign up through email and then visit their blog, you get a code to use for a free movie on Wednesday. There is also free movie Monday, which texts you a code for a free movie on Monday. It's the best. Last night, we rented Fireproof with Kirk Cameron. We had watched some clips of this at church recently as part of a marriage series but we wanted to see it in it's entirety. It is excellent.

Cool guy in his moms glasses
In this pic you can see that new tooth that's been trying to get through and finally made its way, bottom left.

Ms. Brown eyes still loves her strawberries!
And lemons are good too!
Ready to make lemonade!

Making sure her baby is in her stroller...
Oatmeal. This is Mayci's favorite breakfast food & we usually need a bath after we've had it. She loves to feed herself these days. She wants her food in a bowl with a utensil and she is happy!
