I have always wanted a traditional type Chandelier and really loved this one from Ballard Designs. It was $130 and not within budget. It's now down to $80, but still.
So, when I saw this on Craigslist with another lantern type light that most of you have already seen, I decided to scoop it up! The cost? $5 for both...score!
They were both rather dirty and I really didn't want the brown Chandy so I went with a Heritage White. I just love spraypaint these days :) Here is the after. I am really liking it. I know it's not the $130/80 one but close enough for me!!
Another little update I have done recently is our living room pillows. I had a yard sale a few weeks back and used the money from that to buy some fabric I had my eye on at JoAnn's awhile back. Jay doesn't think they match and really can't believe I did white, but I disagree! I think they flow well and brighten up the space so much. The best part is that they were so simple that I can easily put them away for fall/winter season for something warmer in color. I followed a simple pattern I found online and although I wished I had made them a little smaller so that they would be fuller (since I am using the old inserts), all in all, I love the fresh look!
Here is the before and after on those. Old ones on the left (obviously) and I did 4 new ones,
the old covers zipped right off.
So, that's the update for now. I am hoping to start working on the playroom soon!
