Another week gone by!

Wow, this week flew by! As I get our stuff ready for church tomorrow, I cannot believe it's Sunday again. We are doing well over here...nothing really new to update, just the same crazy household as always!

The weather has been in the 70's so we've continued to try to get to the park every day. Funny about that...I think it was last week that Avery had given me a hard time taking his nap so I told him we would not be going to the park in the afternoon after he came out of his room for the 20th (not joking) time. (At what point is it not even worth it anymore?!) Anyway, I then talked to my sister in law who mentioned going to the park and decided that I would change up Avery's punishment because I wanted to go to the park, lol! We went and it all worked out but as I look back on that I have to laugh. Thanks for meeting us at the park, Steph, it's nice having some adult interaction every now & again.

This week, I've been working on some projects around the house including getting our garage cleaned out (should be ready for parking in there this week!) and just finding new uses for things that we have already! I had this little shelf in the garage for years and I found a nice, new home for it in our bathroom to hold cloths & towels. I also came across a slew of picture frames that were outdated or not being used and decided I was gonna clean some of them up since I was wanting to do a couple photo things in the kids rooms. So, I took these old brown frames and painted & distressed them and then came up with these to display some adorable pics my sil took when she was a few weeks old. As always, with my recent projects, this was made all from stuff around the house - I even printed the photos on my photo printer! I really wanted some different papers and letters/embelleshments and could have printed that too but I wanted to use what I have around! I will be hanging these in Mayci's room once it's painted, which will hopefully be in the next couple weeks. I have leftover paint from painting at the old house, so I will be using that - I'll be doing the brown bottom, an off white stripe across the middle and pink on top. No chair rail or stripes this time...!

More to come on old pic frames, I got a great idea from a friend this week that I cannot wait to try!

Anyone see this beautiful rainbow yesterday?

Yesterday, after picking up Joe @ school, I surprised the boys with a trip to Makutu's Island. Of course, once we took the Ray Road exit, Joe knew where we were going but Avery was surprised as he has never been there. He loved it and had a blast, I only had to rescue him once...which was a little interesting carrying a 10 month old. I would probably not recommend it.

I got a call coming in, mom! Pasta face!
