Well here I am with a more detailed post! Things are going well in the Fisk home these days! As normal, Jay is working a TON. Actually he was working his jobs Th - Sun and since they've lost a couple people and cannot re-hire right now, he's going to be working both jobs 6 days a week. Craziness. We cannot complain, as we are blessed to have it but it's taken a toll on me with the 4 kids all.the.time. Unfortunately, they've also lost someone on his K9 team so his days off just switched too and he'll probably be having to work extra hours with his dog to help fill in for the other person. Ahhhh!

Needless to say, we are really looking forward to our upcoming family vacation to California at the end of the month. The kids are eagerly cutting away at their paper chain and just can't wait to hit the beach. Yay!

Summer break is going well thus far. We've been doing the splash pad and playing outside as much as we can in between the hot hot days. We also went to the Childrens Museum with Jay. They've opened their new climbing exhibit and it's so fun! Yes, I had to climb up inside of it with Mayci so I know first hand!

The kids are great. Joe lost his 2nd front tooth so now has a toothless smile, lol! Avery is just happy to have Joe around! They've been playing a lot of legos and we are also doing the summer reading program with the library. Mayci is as adorable as ever! She loves being outside and is REALLY into princesses, Dora and Max & Ruby right now. Very funny. She's been talking about her next birthday party (something she's picked up from her brother) and says it will be Snow White and that she will be getting a princess bike with a horn (like Caillou). Too cute. She's really into shapes right now. She knows all the basics plus octagon and diamond. We are still working on potty training and I thought she had it down last week but then she decided she didn't want underwear and wanted a diaper. She persisted and I didn't want to push issue with her so we aren't any closer to being potty trained. I don't believe in pushing it (unless of course she is getting old, lol) and know that it will happen in time.

Maddi is almost 6 months old. This just makes me so sad...where has the time gone? On Memorial Day, we gave Maddi some rice cereal! She is just grabbing for anything and everything that we are eating so we thought we should start her with something. Of course she spit most of it out but thought she was so big! We also tried to switch her formula to the regular milk based formula. Maddi had 6 ounces and then threw up, she continued to have issues that evening just from that one bottle so we are keeping her on the liquid gold, lol!

Jay and I are doing well too - we are getting settled in. There are still things to be done around the house but we cleaned a lot out as we moved so it doesn't seem too bad. They've started building the golf fence in our backyard, which will be nice. We'll still be able to get the balls that fall down after hitting the net but it's nice to not have to worry about the kids playing outside and getting pegged with a golf ball. I've been taking as much time as possible to organize and craft.

I will post pictures soon too but right now need to get to bed! Hope everyone is doing excellent!
