Today, Avery started pre-school! We decided that he would go back to our church preschool. We know everyone there and it's where he is most comfortable. We did not want to put him in a strange environment. He was so excited to go get a new backpack and snacks for school! He feels like such a big boy. Right now, he is attending Tue & Thu from 8am-1pm. We will see how it works out. I did have to wake Mayci in order to bring him and it wasn't easy to get out of the house that early but I didn't want him going much later, as it would intefere with Mayci's nap. We were able to get home and she napped. I thought he would be tuckered out and nap also, but he told me "I love you mama, I missed you so much and..oh, I am not taking a nap today" - nothing like honesty right? Fortunately, with Jay being off Thursday mornings, he can bring him then. He had a great first day. He was upset when I left but quickly calmed down and had fun learning about Jesus, playing legos and singing songs.
Maddi had her 2 month well check last Friday! She is doing great. She weighs 11 lbs. 13 oz., which is up exactly 4 lbs from birth and she is 23 inches long. She is doing well. We are still battling with some colic issues...we think anyway. It's hard to tell with colic that it is that for sure. I just wish there was some consistency! We have good days when she'll nap & barely cry and days when she will be up all day long, without more than a 5 minute snooze. So, we just try to roll with the punches!
Mayci will be 2 next week! She is so excited & keeps saying "my birthday coming up". If you ask her how old she will be she says with certainty "4"! Too funny.
Joe will be on spring break next week! We are all looking forward to hanging with him and doing some fun stuff, including the zoo with cousins.
